Having won four trophies this year, including Roland Garros, Iga Sviatek left the tournament in Montreal in the semifinals.
The first set saw Pegula come in very determined to win the match, while the Pole failed to recover and lost four games in a row.
Iga started the second set much better, but the advantage was leveled by the American who, after 7-4, managed to send her to a tie-break, where the main favorite won.
Sviatek led 2-0 and 4-2 in the deciding set, but again lost four straight games and Jessica Pegula advanced to the final of the tournament.
This year, Iga Sviatek won trophies in Doha, Stuttgart, Warsaw and Roland Garros.
In the final act in Montreal, Jessica Pegula will meet the winner of Olena Rybakina (4 WTA) and Lyudmila Samsonova (18 WTA).
