Neftchi Baku lost a friendly match against Fenerbahce

Adrian Mutu is already preparing for the new season on the bench of Neftchi Baku, and the Azerbaijani team played a friendly match against the Turks with Fenerbahce on Saturday.

Last season’s third-placed team from Azerbaijan, with Laurentiu Regekampf on the bench, lost the match 1-0 to the Turks.

The only goal of the game was scored by Edin Dzeko (72nd minute), a player who was brought in without a contract after breaking with Inter, the UEFA Champions League finalists last season.

Juri Mathias will report to Adrian Muta

Following Adrian Mutu, a Super League footballer will arrive in Azerbaijan.

On Friday evening, the owner of ChFR Cluj, Ioan Varga, confirmed the parting with Yuri Matias, who will go to Neftchi, Baku.

In exchange for the 28-year-old defender, Neftchi Baku will pay 400,000 euros.
