The Romanian national handball team stopped in the semi-finals of the European Championship among youths under 19, which was held in Pitesti, and will play for bronze.
The tricolors were defeated by Hungary 26-34 and will face Portugal in the minor final hoping to secure a bronze medal.
In the other semi-final, Denmark beat Portugal 38-35.
On Sunday, Romania will play Portugal for bronze at 17:30, while the grand final between Hungary and Denmark starts at 19:45.
Romania hosts the European Championship after 23 years. In 2000, in Bucharest, the national team took 4th place at the European Championship among young men.
