Novak Djokovic defeated Yannick Sinner in the Wimbledon semifinals

Novak Djokovic proves once again that he is in exceptional form after another very good match at Wimbledon.

The former world leader had no problems in the match against Yannick Sinner (8 ATP) and defeated him in three sets, at the end of the match, which lasted two hours and 49 minutes.

Nole will face the winner of Carlos Alcaraz (1 ATP) and Daniil Medvedev (3 ATP) in the grand final of the All England Club.

After Friday’s success against Yannick Sinner, Nole won his 34th consecutive Wimbledon victory.

Know:

  • Novak Djokovic is one win away from his 24th Grand Slam title, an all-time record for men’s tennis.
  • If she wins at the All England Club, Nole will match the legendary Margaret Court – the Australian won 24 major titles in her career (the most of all time).
  • It was Djokovic’s 46th career Grand Slam semifinal, tying Roger Federer’s record.
  • Djokovic’s last loss at Wimbledon dates back to 2017: in this edition, the Serbian had to retire during the match against Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals of the London competition (7-6(2), 2-0 in favor of the Czech).
