Adrian Yenci will be Bergodi’s second coach in Rapid

Less than a week before the start of the new season of the Romanian Super League, there were staff changes in the Bucharest “Rapid”.

Cristiano Bergodi has replaced Adrian Muta on the technical bench, while Giulesti announced on Tuesday that Adrian Yenci will be the team’s second coach.

“Rapid’s legendary defender Adrian Yenci has returned to the club that created him.

Adi Yenci has become the new second coach of “Rapid”, he will team up with Cristiano Bergodi, who will lead the team in the 2023/2024 season.” – says the club’s official press release.

Adrian Yenci was Rapid’s head coach from August to October 2020, and now former player Giulesti is back as second coach.

“Returning to Rapid means for me, first of all, the continuation of my professional career. Working with a coach who has a lot of experience, a coach who, in turn, loves this club.

He was already here and attached himself to everything Rapid stands for. First of all, this is my thinking from a professional point of view, because I really enjoy the job of a coach, and even more, coming back to Rapid means something special to me.

Quick, as I’ve said many times before, this is my second home. Fast means everything to me. Here I was formed as a person, developed morally, developed from all points of view.

I had the great opportunity to have many teammates from whom I learned something. I had coaches who nurtured me and leaders at the same time.

I consider myself lucky to have had and have the chance to play in the cherry-white shirt and to be loved by the most beautiful gallery in Romania and the most beautiful fans in the whole country.” – said Adrian Yenci.
