Mads Pedersen, victory in Limoges – Jonas Wingegaard kept the yellow jersey

This is Pedersen’s second stage win in the Tour de France after winning in Saint-Etienne last year.

The Dane was followed by the Belgians Jasper Filisen (Alpecin-Beceuninck) and Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), while Jonas Wingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) remains the leader of the general classification.

The race was marked by the withdrawal of Mark Cavendish, who will retire from cycling at the end of this season. The Briton, who won 34 stages on the Great Loop (a record he shared with Belgian Eddy Merckx), fell with 64 kilometers to go and damaged his left collarbone.
