
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will take over as head coach of the Brazil national team at the 2024 Copa América, the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Ednaldo Rodríguez, announced.

Until the summer of next year, the Seleção will be coached by Fernando Dinis, the coach of the Fluminense team.

Ancelotti has one season left on his contract with Real Madrid, and the Copa America starts on June 20 in the USA.
Brazil will be the first national team to be coached by Ancelotti, one of the most successful coaches in modern football.

Dinis will coach Brazil in World Cup qualifiers, including a home match against reigning champions Argentina in November.

Brazil will play its first match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at home against Bolivia on September 7.
