Sorana Kirstea, accused of transphobia: “You have a good reason to hate her”

According to Sportskeeda, Sorana (37 WTA) has been accused of homophobia and transphobia after promoting traditional values on her Instagram account.

“Make men manly again, women feminine again, children innocent again,” Kirstea shared on her Instastory.

Sorana’s post was seen as an attack on the LGBTQI+ community, and among those who criticized the Romanian woman was an American journalist.

“Of course, the irony is that the creator of the meme would question Kirstei’s femininity — she’s a muscular athlete who wants to pursue a career outside the home and all. Transphobia very often goes hand in hand with internalized misogyny.”
