Verstappen, the leader in the drivers’ standings, did not give up the first position until the end, managing to complete 24 laps (103.6 km) first.
Second place went to his RedBull teammate Sergio Perez, and Spain’s Carlos Sainz Jr. completed the podium. (Ferrari).
Starting from the 18th place, the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) managed to finish the race only in the tenth position.
Max Verstappen (RedBull) will also start from pole position for Sunday’s race in Spielberg, after the Dutchman won Friday’s qualifying.
