Varvara Grachova chose France

Since the tournament in Bad Homburg, Grachova (born in Moscow) represents France.

“No one from Russia has contacted me about changing citizenship. It was not known before or after this decision.

I have lived in France for more than six years. I have a good training base here. I love French culture, lifestyle, people.

I want to stay here forever. I have friends here, I’m fine in France.” Varvara Grachova said in an interview for sport.pl.

The Bad Homburg Open is the third edition of the WTA 250 grass court. The first two were won by Angelique Kerber (2021) and Caroline Garcia (2022).
