Jelena Ostapenko beat Barbora Krejcikova in the WTA final in Birmingham

Olena Ostapenko won her 6th career singles title.

The player from Latvia met the main favorite of the WTA in Birmingham Barbora Krejcikova (12 WTA) and won in two sets after a match that lasted one hour and 53 minutes.

The 2017 Roland Garros champion, Ostapenko won her second grass court title after defeating Anette Kontaveit in the 2021 WTA Eastbourne Final.

Thanks to her success in Birmingham, Olena Ostapenko will receive a check for $34,228 and 280 points in the WTA singles ranking.
