Left without a striker following the departure of Karim Benzema, Real Madrid on Monday confirmed the player’s move on loan from the relegated side to Spain’s second division.

Joselu became the new attacker of “Real” Madrid – Warful left from “Espanyola”.

Without Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz, Real Madrid were desperate for a striker who could be brought in for a small fee.

After a long search, Madrid completed the transfer of Joselu on Monday, on loan from Espanyol, who were relegated to the second division of Spain.

The 33-year-old forward will play at Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2024, and Real Madrid paid 500,000 euros for his lease.

If they want to keep him forever, “Real” will have to pay a clause of 1.5 million euros.

Joselu made 38 appearances for Espanyol in the recently concluded season, scoring 17 goals for the Catalan side.

In March of this year, the forward also made his debut in the Spanish national football team, for which he has already scored 3 times in 4 matches.

Real president Florentino Perez has confirmed that Joselu is the last transfer Los Blancos will make this summer.
