Sergio Conceicao, the coach wanted by PSG

It has been no secret for a few weeks now that PSG is letting coach Christophe Galtier go, even though he still has a year left on his contract with the Parisians.

The latest name expected to lead the team is Sergio Conceicao, and negotiations with him have resumed in the last few hours, writes Le Parisien.

According to French media, negotiations with Julian Nagelsmann have not ended successfully and the Portuguese is now the main favourite.

Sergio Conceicao has been on the bench for FC Porto since 2017, with one year remaining on his contract and an €18 million release clause.

However, his name was also mentioned a year ago after the departure of Mauricio Pochettino. Conceição, in the form of Jorge Mendes, a close friend of the club, is also valued by Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting director.

The Portuguese technician also coached FC Nantes in Ligue 1 in the 2016-2017 season.
