>> The world champion stirs up controversy – who does he think is better between Hamilton and Alonso?

Hamilton says Verstappen can break his F1 records

In addition, the Mercedes driver believes that there is someone who can surpass his record of world championship trophies. We remind you that at the moment the British share the first place, having 7 titles in their assets, with Michael Schumacher.

Having reached the age of 38, Hamilton believes that Max Verstappen (25 years old – the champion of the last two editions of Formula 1) can surpass several of his records.

The Dutchman currently boasts 40 Grand Prix wins at the Grand Circus and if he wins this weekend in Canada, he will match the legendary Ayrton Senna (41 without).

In this chapter, Hamilton has 103 victories, followed by Michael Schumacher with 91. In front of Verstappen there are also such names as Sebastian Vettel (53) and Alain Prost (51).

“Yes, of course (not if he can break his Formula 1 records). He has a very long career ahead of him, so he could do it. Max has done a great job and has made incredible progress in his career. After all, records exist in order to break them” – Lewis Hamiltonquoted by DPA.
