The University of Craiova is without its president after Sorin Circu announced his resignation during a press conference held on Friday.

Sorin Kartsu is no longer the president of the University of Kraiów

“I decided to quit football. The main reason is my more than 55 years of football experience. I have had a career as a football player and a coach, and in the last four and a half years – a career as a manager.

I didn’t come with papers to speak, but I’m just saying what I feel at the moment. I am proud of what I have achieved in this field. Now I want to thank those who were with me.

Thank you, but also thankful for some lost colleagues. Crisan, Stefanescu, Tilihoi, Balachi… They gave me the opportunity to play with them. They were the most beautiful in my life, those from Craiova Maxima. I lived them with maximum intensity and remember them with pleasure and nostalgia” – Sorin Map.

“I thank those who trusted me and put the fate of the teams in my hands. Out of 55 football matches in my life, 40 were dedicated to regional football. There were interesting stages in my life, which I approached with maximum passion.
