Dan Petrescu wants to win the title and the Champions League with Jeonbuk Hyundai
After arriving in South Korea on Tuesday, the former Romania international made his first statements and announced his dream with the new team.
“I’m very happy to be here, of course I’m tired, but I’m looking forward to this experience and I hope to make the fans very happy.
My dream is to become a champion and win the Champions League,” said Dan Petrescu in a video posted on the Jeonbuk team page.
Jeonbuk Hyundai have won nine South Korean league titles since 2009, but this season they are only 7th in the table with 24 points from 17 matches. Ulsan Hyundai leads (41 points).
The coach will hold a press conference on June 14, and is expected to make his debut on the bench of the new team on June 24 in a match against “Gwangju” (6th place).
