Alexander Chipch, until 2024 at the University of Cluj

Oleksandr Chipciu, who was wanted back by FCSB, who made an offer for the player after his contract expired this summer, has signed a contract extension and will play in Cluj until 2024, according to an official statement.

Arriving at the University from rivals CFR a year ago, Chipchu enjoyed a superb season in which he made 39 appearances and scored two goals.

Even if they don’t have a head coach at the moment, Cluj’s players have started consolidating their squad for the next Super League season, with Bohdan Mitreja, Dora Popadiuk and Daniel Popa already signed by the Transylvanian players as free agents.

As for the waste, Romario Pires announced his departure from the Red Caps on Wednesday.

During his career, Aleksandru Chipcu played for FC Brasov, FCSB, Anderlecht, Sparta Prague and CFR Cluj, and also played 46 matches for the national team, for which he scored six times.
