David Popovici, 8.65 GPA on B.A

David Popovich graduated from high school with an 8.65 GPA.

The athlete, registered with CS Dinamo Bucharest, passed the exam at Vălenii de Munte and said he was satisfied with the result.

“I am very pleased with the result and especially relieved. Because as I got closer to BA, I started studying more and more, stressing more and more, as I’m sure everyone who took this exam did.

I tried to balance them and I managed to try not to put my studies on hold to focus on swimming and not the other way around, because in life in general it’s not good to focus only on one thing that is too strong. It’s good to have more variety in your life. I enjoyed learning.

After going through so much training, I was not very used to reading, learning and memorizing, and I liked it. (…) I hoped to get more than eight and I succeeded. Reality has shown that I am more optimistic and more confident in my abilities even at this level.

I think the result I got is a perfect reflection of the time given to the student. This is an average job! – he sent him to the VSP.

Moreover, the two-time world and European 100m and 200m freestyle champion also clarified what his plans are for the future, stating that he would like to study psychology at a university in Bucharest.

“My mother also graduated in psychology, and I think I have this inclination from her. I want to learn as much as possible about what is in my head, what processes take place in the brain of each person. I want to learn as much as possible about this, about human behavior.

I chose my third subject in BAC Sociology because I was simply attracted to the subjects, the topics that were included in the discussions, the exercises and I realized that this is something I am passionate about and this is what I would like to do in the future .

In addition to swimming, in the future there is also something related to psychology, sociology, pedagogy, these more human spheres, because I was never destined for a real profile and exact subjects. And I would like to learn as much as possible about people, because people are beautiful.” – he concluded.

On the sports level, Davyd Popovici is going to take part in the Romanian Cup, a competition that will take place on June 2-4 in Otopeni.
