FCSB and Rapid will meet on Saturday night at the National Arena in Bucharest in the last match of the season for both teams in the Super League. Although neither team will be fighting for anything, Christy Sepunaru believes the match will be one to watch.

FCSB will meet Rapid in the last match of the Super League season

FCSB also missed out on the Super League title this season, losing 3-2 to Farul in the preliminary round.

Elias Charalambous’ side, after qualifying in the previous UEFA Conference League matches, will face Rapid on Saturday at the National Arena in Bucharest in their final match of the season.

Giulesti missed out on a place in the European Cup this season, and Adrian Mutu’s men want to give the fans a win as a sign of gratitude for their support.

Cristi Sepunaru, captain of Giulesti, attended the press conference before the match against FCSB and addressed the fans as well as the direct opponent.

“A match that is of great importance to the fans, but which no longer matters in the standings. We look forward to it! I wish it mattered, but it’s okay. It will never be like a friendly derby. Whoever believes in this is very mistaken! This match will never be friendly.

I don’t know if the arena will be full, we hope that there will be as many fans as possible. Our 2800 will definitely be. We hope we will give them a good match.

Are we going through an emergency pass? We have six wins in a row and we are trying to make a seventh (no – laughs). We care about winning and the fans are happy. I don’t care that they lost the championship, I don’t care what we do.

We accomplished one goal, but we did not accomplish the second. It was necessary to enter the playoffs and win the Cup. We made it to the playoffs, but we set another goal – the European Cup, which we failed to achieve.

It will be FCSB – Rapid match. You will see how it will be at the stadium. I don’t know if they will play with the reserve. They have a coach who could say, I understand, they had a press conference.

I don’t know if a victory would save the championship, but it would make the fans happy. I am not able to talk about exams. There are people in the club, it’s their business. I will never talk about other players. Ask the coach, management.” – told Sepunaru, reports Digi Sport.
