AEK Athens – PAOK Thessaloniki 2-0 in the final of the Greek Cup

AEK defender Lazaros Rota saw a red card in the 6th minute of the game.

Rezvan Lucescu’s outnumbered side failed to score and conceded a goal in the 26th minute when Cameroonian Harold Mukudi opened the scoring.

Despite the attacks from Thessaloniki, AEK heroically resisted and even in the extra minutes of the game managed to double their advantage through the Spaniard Paulo Fernandez.

As coach of PAOK, Rezvan Lucescu won two Greek Cups out of eight in total and reached his second losing final.

Instead, this year, this event, the third in the club’s history, was managed by representatives of AEK Athens.
