Real Madrid – Olympiakos 79-78 in the Euroleague final

In the final, which took place in Kaunas (Lithuania), Madrid (the most successful in this competition) led by four points with 45 seconds left (78-74) before Sergio Rodríguez’s layup and Llull’s layup.

In this way, Real Madrid avenged last year’s final loss against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul (58-59), silencing the approximately 5,000 Greek fans in the hall.

For their part, Olympiakos were targeting their fourth title after 1997, 2012 and 2013 and lost their third final against Real Madrid (2015, 2017, 2023).

Monaco defeated Barcelona 78-66 in the third-place match to become the first French team to step onto the podium at the Limoges competition, having won the trophy in 1993, Agerpres reports.
