Elias Charalambous resigned and recognized the superiority of Mayak

After the Ovidio game, FCSB head coach Elias Charalambous apologized to the fans for the setback that amounted to losing the title.

“Unfortunately, it was not possible to keep the result. It was quite frustrating for us that we couldn’t keep the ball after we were winning 2-0. We weren’t what we should have been, we played long balls, it’s unclear.

But if I touch on the last games, then it is not correct to criticize the players. We played good games, we managed to hang on. Unfortunately, in the decisive match, we did not perform as well as we should have. We made mistakes and Majak was better than us.

I want to apologize to the fans, but we should be proud of the players. We will do our best to become better in the future.

The 2-1 goal before the break was very important for them. In the second half they completely dominated us, they were better and deserved to win. I congratulate Hyke Hagi on winning the championship” – said Elias Charalambousreports Eurosport.

FCSB last won the league title in the 2014-2015 season with coach Kostel Hallke on the bench.
