The silver medal went to the Italian Palmisano with a time of 1:29:19, and the bronze went to Ana Campesinia (Portugal), who had the patience and strength to move to third place in the last two kilometers, leaving the Ukrainian in fourth place.
Drysbioti won two gold medals, winning both over 35 km. at the 2021 event.
Cristina Padopoulou competed at the same distance and finished 17th in 1:34:30 and improved her yearly record by achieving the second fastest time of her career on the course.
Olga Fiaska was the third Greek woman in the race, finishing 28th with a time of 1:38:55. Our country took fifth place in the team standings among the nine countries participating in the team standings.
“It was a very good match. All the great athletes who will take part in the World Championship came for medals. I managed to win and I did it because I followed the plan that we made with my coach and I ran the race correctly I was in control, I attacked to see the condition of the other athletes, I stayed behind when I needed to rest, and finally, with an attack after the 16th kilometer, I achieved victory,” said Drisbioti.
