Josko Guardiol is wanted at the Etihad Stadium.

After impressive results at the World Cup in Qatar, Josko Guardiola has been shortlisted by several of Europe’s top clubs.

The 21-year-old defender has grown tremendously since his time at RB Leipzig and Manchester City have already expressed an interest in signing the Croatian.

The Daily Mail reports that Pep Guardiola is keen on Guardiola as he is seen as an ideal replacement for Aymeric Laporte, who will leave Manchester City at the end of this season.

The cited source also notes that RB Leipzig won’t let the defender go for less than £85 million, so the City will have to shell out a lot of money to bring Josko Guardiola to the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiol trains at the academy of “Dynamo” Zagreb, and from the summer of 2021 he plays in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig paid €18.8m for him and since then he has made 86 appearances for the German side.

€75m is Guardiola’s market share according to Transfermarkt.
