Daniil Medvedev defeated Yannik Hanfmann in the quarters in Rome

Ranked 3rd in the ATP rankings, Daniil Medvedev respected his status as a favorite and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament in Rome.

The Russian needed an hour and 22 minutes to overtake Yannick Hanfmann (101 ATP) at the end of the match under the control of the player who won 4 tournaments in 2023 (Rotterdam, Doha, Dubai and Miami).

His opponent in the semifinals will be Stefanos Tsitsipas (5 ATP) or Borna Corych (16 ATP).

Holger Rune (7 ATP) and Kasper Ruud (4 ATP) also reached the semi-finals.
