With about 150 kilometers to go in Wednesday’s stage, a dog entered the road and caused the Soudal-Quick Step rider to fall.
He is also involved in the incident of Remko Evenepol (team manager), who is second in the overall standings and one of the favorites to win the race.
After long seconds of surprise, Remko took his seat on the motorcycle again. It remains to be seen how much the fall will affect him physically, as well as at the level of the general hierarchy (how many seconds he will lose).
