The undisputed champion of the category, the 32-year-old Mexican now has 59 wins (including 39 by limit, two draws and two losses).
The Briton went to the floor twice and recorded his sixth defeat in 38 matches.
Alvarez won by decision of the referee judges: 120-107, 118-109, 118-109, according to News.ro.
