AC Milan took a big step towards next season’s Champions League qualification with a 2-0 home win over Lazio in the Serie A round of 34.

Lazio could lose second place in Serie A after losing to AC Milan if Juventus win against Atalanta.

Stefano Pioli’s side started the game well and opened the scoring in the 17th minute thanks to Bennaser’s pass from Giroud after a big mistake in the Romanian defence.

It was 2-0 in the 29th minute when, starting in his own half, Hernandez made a great run that ended with a superb strike from outside the box.

In the 83rd minute, the score could have increased, but Ante Rebic’s goal was disallowed due to offside.

With four stages to go before the end of the Serie A season, “Milan” is in the fourth, last place of the Champions League and is waiting for “Inter” to make a false move in the match with “Roma”.
