Left with minimal chances in the fight for the title after losing to FCSB (2-1) in the Superliga playoffs, the University of Craiova announced on Wednesday the amicable parting of the Brazilian Rivaldinho.

Rivaldinho parted ways with the University of Craiova

Returning to Romanian football in the summer of 2022, Rivaldinho failed to help Craiova University achieve their goals this season.

The Brazilian, who is a free agent, has made 27 appearances for Olteni this season but has scored just one goal for the side currently coached by Eugen Nyagoe.

The son of the great Rivaldo was unable to adapt in Ban, and the residents of Olteni officially announced the separation on the club’s Facebook page.

“University of Craiova club and striker Rivaldinho decided to terminate contractual relations by mutual consent. We thank him and wish him success in the future,” the club’s official press release reads.
