European champion in taekwondoGreece was crowned for the second time.

At the Pan-European Championships held in Essolo, Italy, the country collected 47 gold medals, leaving behind Ukraine with 30, the Czech Republic with 15, Bulgaria with 14, England with 10 and the rest of the 30+ countries.

The team of 126 athletes in all categories again became the champion of Europe.

The national team was supported by 12 federal coaches.

“The second European champion, you prove that nothing is a coincidence, that you are doing something right as a country, as a federation,” coach Petros Plaskasovitis told ERT.

“Congratulations to the parents who tirelessly support their children during this difficult financial time. To the Greek refereeing, which is considered the best at the European and world level, to the friendly fellow coaches from the Federation, who lead the team to the best result,” he concluded.
