The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place this weekend and Lewis Hamilton has told the race’s official website why Mercedes is optimistic ahead of the Baku street Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton says that Mercedes came to Azerbaijan with several updates to the single-seat car
Multiple world champion Hamilton says Mercedes have done a lot of work in the weeks off at the Grand Circus and that the car will show more improvements at the Baku circuit.
The Briton says he is eager to see how the single-seater Mercedes will perform against rivals RedBull, Aston Martin and Ferrari this weekend.
“I think this will be a new beginning for us,” he says confidently Hamilton.
Seven-time world champion Lewis does not believe the rivals can be caught overnight, but hopes to close the gap to RedBull.
“It’s probably going to be the most exciting weekend to date (not this season),” he concluded. Lewis Hamilton for the cited source.
