Aryna Sabalenko lost the second consecutive final in Stuttgart to Iza Sviatek (3-6, 4-6), and joked several times after the match. Some of them were tasted, others became a reason for comments in social networks.

One thing is clear: Arina has the “glue” in the Stuttgart final (already three in a row – 2021 with Barty and 2022, 2023 with Svyatek), but she does not have a trophy.

At the end of Sunday’s match, lost to Iza Sviatek, the second racket of the world made several jokes in her speech after the final.

In the first, Sabalenko asked the organizers to give her a car (Porsche – to the winner) if she makes it to another final (it will be the fourth in her career in Stuttgart).

“I’m tired of losing in the final and driving without a car,” said Arina, among others. The athlete from Belarus added that she will return to Stuttgart as much as it takes until she can finally go home with the Porsche model presented by the organizers.

After two performances, Arina walked past Iga’s winning car and made a gesture that many liked: she pretended to hit the new polka car with the cup she received as a finalist in Stuttgart.

However, there were enough comments on social media mentioning the violence, and things became delicate in the context in which the athlete is from Belarus, a country that is one of Russia’s main allies in the war in Ukraine.
