FC Argesh picked up their first Super League win after a nearly six-month layoff, 1-0 at home to Chindia Tirgovishte in the fourth round of the play-offs.

After four defeats in a row, Bohdan Vintila brought a first win for FC Argesh, who are still hoping to avoid direct relegation.

Defender Grigore Turda scored the only goal of the game with a header from Kalkan’s free kick in the 19th minute.

Pitesti are one point closer to the play-off spot held by UTA and two points behind Kindia Tirgovishte, teams that have lost touch with the first team above the line, University of Cluj.

FC Argesh’s last Super League win was in October 2022 against UTA.
