CS Mioveni – Dinamo, FRF – Steliano Filip under scrutiny, suspicious fouls

Last season’s match between CS Mioveni and Dynamo, won by the Argesians 2-0, attracted the attention of the FRF and the authorities after warnings were issued about possible betting manipulation, writes GSP.

The main target was the then captain of “Dynamo” Steliano Filip, who committed four fouls in the first half hour of the game, for which he received a yellow card. The left defender did not commit a single foul until the end of the game.

As reported by Gazeta Sporturilor, the Romanian Football Federation confirmed the investigation into the suspicious match case.

“We can confirm that FRF’s Integrity and Anti-Fraud Department has launched an investigation on behalf of the said party and that its findings have been forwarded to the relevant authorities. As the investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide further details at this time,” the FRF said.
