David, who rarely competed in the butterfly, stopped the clocks in 52.30 seconds, followed by Daniel Martin (53.19) and Laurean Popescu (54.04).
“Participating in as many challenges as possible helps me experiment and expand. I’m still young and I don’t want to stick to one model. Therefore, I take advantage of such competitions, with a not very high stake, and I hope that in the future or in the near future I will be able to participate in competitions with a higher stake” – Davyd Popovych.
At the National Swimming Championships in Otopeni this week, David also won gold in the 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly (he broke the national record in that event), 400m freestyle and 100m freestyle.
