The matches will take place in the “Bonifica” sports park on April 14-15, the winner of which qualifies for the final tournament of this competition.

Horia Tekeu and the Romanian footballer preceded the meeting with Slovenia at the Billie Jean King Cup

Accompanied by Horia Tekau and coaches Alina Texor-Sersel and Daniel Dobre, our players celebrated Tamara Zidansek from the Slovenian national team, a semi-finalist at Roland Garros in 2021.

“For us, this is a very, very important meeting, a qualifying match for the final tournament. Regardless of the opponent, regardless of the conditions, we take it very seriously. I know that when we do our job and the girls are good in every way, that they are happy, that they are happy, that they are in good physical shape, that they can play good tennis, and then I believe that they can win and that’s what we want” – Khoria Tekau.

“It’s a tough game considering we’re playing away. We have a match against Zidansek, who is a very, very good clay player, considering she reached that semifinal at Roland Garros. In the doubles, we have many options, and I am sure that Khoria will make the best decision that will help us win” – Monica Niculescu.

“It will be an interesting game, a tough game because it is very important for each of us. Every time I go to play for Romania, I have fantastic energy” – Ana Bohdan.

“We are quite a strong team and united as players. Khoria helps us a lot and we communicate very well. I, for example, believe that we have the first chance” – Jacqueline Christian.

“I see a rather difficult meeting. I understood from my teammates that the Slovenian players are experienced, and I think that we will have the toughest match against Zidansek. The match with Slovenia can be won” – Anka Todoni.
