Brendan Rodgers has been sacked by Leicester

Brendan Rodgers, who was appointed as Leicester’s bench manager in February 2019, was sacked by the former English champions after 4 years.

The Foxes lost 2-1 away to Crystal Palace on Saturday and a run of six league games without a win saw Brendan Rodgers sacked by team officials at the King Power Stadium.

With Brendan Rodgers on the bench, Leicester won the FA Cup in 2021 and the FA Super Cup in 2022.

The team that won the title with Claudio Ranieri in 2016 is now in a desperate situation.

Leicester are second to last in the Premier League with just 25 points from 28 matches (19th place).

The team at the King Power Stadium was promoted to the Premier League in 2014 and has been one of the important teams in England ever since.

The departures of recent years and the lack of reinforcements have brought the team to a critical point. It remains to be seen who will replace Brendan Rodgers.
