Carla Suarez Navarro (34), the former WTA No. 6, has gone through some extremely difficult times in recent years, but now it seems that they are all in the past.

The former athlete, one of Simona Halep’s best friends in the WTA tournament, announced in September 2020 that she has cancer and she said that she will fight with all her strength to defeat the disease that claims so many victims around the world.

And not only did she manage to emerge victorious, but less than a year later she was back on court at Roland Garros, giving Simo the opportunity to send her an emotional message along with the other players on the circuit.

But important news was yet to come. Carla and her partner, soccer player Olga Garcia, announced at the end of last year that they would become parents, and it is Carla who is carrying the pregnancy. And to make the happiness even greater, they will have twins. And the time of the baby’s birth is scheduled for June 2023.
