
Group I of the Euro 2024 qualifiers started with a convincing victory for Switzerland against Belarus and a draw between Israel and Kosovo in anticipation of the match between Andorra and Romania.

Group I favorites for Euro 2024 Switzerland put on a real show of strength in their away match against Belarus, but were beaten 5-0 in Serbia’s Novi Sad.
Midfielder “Lugano” Renato Steffen scored a hat-trick before the break at 4, 17 and 29 minutes.
In the second half, Murat Yakin’s wards scored two more goals – London Arsenal player Granit Xhaka in the 62nd minute and Zeki Amduni in the 65th minute.
Switzerland are top of Group I after the most convincing victory in the first stage of the previous tournament.
In the other game of the group, Kosovo earned a point at home to Israel. The Kosovars opened the scoring in the 36th minute, after an own goal by Eli Dasa, and could have doubled their lead in the 49th minute, but Milot Rasica’s goal was disallowed by VAR.
When the chances returned, Israel equalized seven minutes later through Dor Peretz.
