The ATP has announced the calendar for 2024, a season that will undergo changes to make way for the Summer Olympics in Paris.
The ATP Asian circuit returns with tournaments in Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai
A total of 63 tournaments will be held in 29 countries on six continents over 11 months.
An important change is the return of the Asian Circuit from September to October. We will again see players perform in Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.
In 2024, there will be five 12-day Masters (ATP 1000) tournaments: Indian Wells, Miami (both in March), Madrid (April), Rome (May) and Shanghai (October).
The competitions in Montreal (August 5-11) and Cincinnati (August 11-18) will be held in 2024 immediately after the Olympics in Paris (July 26-August 11).
In addition, the tournament in Los Cabos (Mexico) has been moved from July to February, and the future of the current ATP 250 tournament in Banja Luka (Bosnia-Herzegovina) in April will be determined, according to Agerpres.
It is currently unknown where and when the ATP Next Gen (a competition designed for the best players under the age of 21) will take place, while the Champions Tour will take place in Turin from November 10.
The second draw of the United Cup, a ground-breaking mixed team event organized at the start of the season in January in partnership with the WTA and Tennis Australia, has also been confirmed.
