Emma Raducanu (72 WTA), who was eliminated in the round of 16 from Indian Wells by WTA leader Iga Sviatek, left the tournament in Miami in the first round.

The British woman was defeated by Bianca Andreescu (31 WTA) at the end of the match, which lasted two hours and 35 minutes.

The Canadian dominated the first set and led 4-1, needing 45 minutes to take the first set 6-3.

In the second set, the two played back-to-back until 3-3, after which Emma served and broke.

The decisive set went, and Bianca Andreescu played a bit more aggressively. With a score of 3-2, the Canadian made a break and finally managed to win the match.

In the next round, Bianca Andreescu will face Maria Saccari, who is ranked No. 10 in the WTA rankings and is the No. 7 favorite in Miami.

The Miami Open takes place from March 21 to April 2 on hard, is in the “WTA 1000” category and has a total prize pool of $8,800,000. There are 96 players in the main draw, and the reigning champion is Iga Svyatek.
