University of Cluj defeats FC Arges

Without a victory in the championship since the 16th stage, FC Argesh was unlucky even in the match at the Cluj Arena.

The team coached by Ioan Ovidiu Sabau controlled the first part of the game.

The hosts squandered great opportunities to open the scoring through Philipp and Remakle.

The same Remakl opened the score at 45+1 minutes, at the end of the action, where VAR was needed.

In the second half, Mamadou Thiam twice came close to scoring, but each time the opponent’s goalkeeper intervened decisively.

Towards the end of the game, Kalkan made a great individual move, which ended with a strong shot from outside the penalty area, but the Transylvanian goalkeeper deflected it for a corner.

In extra time, Tescan (min. 90+5) finished elegantly and also made the final score 2-0.

The last success of “Arjesh” FC in the Super League was in a match with “UTA Arad” (1-0) on October 30, 2022.
