Florin Gardosh, convinced that he will get along with Gigi Becali

Florin Gardos is one of the former FCSB players who left the Bucharest outfit for the Premier League.

The Romanian defender, who is now 34 years old, was bought by “Southampton”, and at the same time, Vlad Chirishes came to “Tottenham”.

Gardos has won 5 trophies with FCSB and the former Romanian player told Fanatik that he would love to coach the Super League side despite the team’s situation.

Florin Gardos is aware that Gigi Becali cannot be replaced, but he would not refuse a possible offer from the Romanian vice-champion (if he had a PRO license).

“Honestly, if I had a Pro license today, at the age of 34, and I wasn’t coaching any first division team, yes, I would go to FCSB. This is a team I really care about.

I think I would have brought some calmness to the team, helped them out and been more like myself on TV. Of course, my role will be an image one. I would try to bring peace, communicate more with the press.

I would be more of a press officer than a coach, but I would be doing that for a while. I would get along well with Gigi Becali if I know my role and don’t have any attribution.” – said Florin Gardos.

Elias Charalambous, the favorite to coach FCSB – The goal is the Super League title

With no head coaching options before the playoffs begin, the FCSB is considering the appointment of Elias Charalambous, a former FC Vaslui player from 2012-2013.

He is out of contract from May 2022 and during his coaching career he coached Ethnikos and Doxa Katokopias. He made his debut as a second in AEK Larnaca.
