Carlos Alcaraz won his 100th victory on the ATP circuit and reached the round of 16 in Indian Wells, the tournament of the “ATP Masters 1000” category.

Carlos Alcaraz, 100 wins on the ATP circuit

At the age of 19 years and 10 months (he will turn 20 on May 5), Carlos needed 132 games to earn his 100th win. It happened in the third round in Indian Wells: 7-6(4), 6-3 over Dutchman Tallon Grikspoor (36 ATP, No. 31 seed).

Only John McEnroe reached this milestone faster than the Iberian: the legendary American football player won 100 victories in 131 matches. They are followed by Andre Agassi (135), Rafael Nadal (137), Mats Wilander (138) and Boris Becker (140).

  • The main favorite of the competition in the Californian desert Alcaraz will fight for a place in the quarters with the British Jack Draper (56 ATP), who eliminated Andy Murray.
  • Alcaraz and Draper have only met once before, with the Spaniard winning 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (Basel 2022).
