Indian Wells 2023 – the top three favorites in the 1/8 finals

Rebecca Peterson (103 WTA) and Marketa Vondrousova (105 WTA) are the players who, through the prism of places in the ranking, present big surprises in eighth place.

Of course, it should be remembered that Vondrousova is a Grand Slam finalist (Roland Garros-2019), but the latest achievements of the player from the Czech Republic were below her standards.

Then we have Sorana Kirstea (83 WTA) and Varvara Grachova (66 WTA), and the rest of us are only dealing with players at the top of the world rankings.

Know:

  • Three players from the top ten favorites of Indian Wells 2023 have already dropped out of the WTA 1000 competition. These are Ons Jaber (fourth favorite), Daria Kasatkina (8) and Belinda Bencic (9).
