The men’s national handball team defeated the Faroe Islands 25-17 (14-10) in the fourth stage of the preliminary group of the European Championship 2024.

Romania – Faroe Islands 25-17 in men’s handball

Having lost three days ago on the field of the Faroe Islands, the national team under the leadership of Javi Pascual took revenge and remained in the second position of the 4th group.

As part of Romania, the main scorers were Tarice, Humet and Hryhorash, each with four successes.

In the match of the tour, the Faroe Islands won with a score of 28-26. Four teams have already qualified directly: Germany, as well as 2022 medalists Sweden, Spain and Denmark.

The Romanian national team last participated in the final tournament of the European Championship in 1996, when it took 9th place out of 12 participating teams.
