The University of Craiova rose to the fourth position in the ranking after a successful home victory over the UTA team in the last stage of the regular season.

University of Craiova – UTA 2-1, 30th stage of the Super League

Eugen Nyagoe’s men have won their third consecutive Super League victory and are preparing for a tough match in the playoffs.

After an emphatic victory over FCSB in the previous stage, the Arad started bravely and opened the scoring in the 39th minute when Idriz Bata headed Rodgera from a corner.

In the 52nd minute, Jovan Markovych equalized the score, deceiving Kucher with a deflected shot.

At the 65th minute, the score was 2-1. Elvir Kolic managed to score after a wonderful deep shot to Aleksandr Krets.

In the end, UTA pressed on and could have won a point, but Abeid and Otele missed good chances to score.

Craiova University is currently ahead of Rapidul in the standings, in fourth place and entering the playoffs with 27 points.

UTA remains in 14th place and will start the playoffs with 14 points, taking advantage of the round.
