Top favorites Ruse and Bondar beat Rosalie Van der Hook/Fang-Hsien Wu (Netherlands/Taiwan) 7-6(1), 6-0. The match lasted 69 minutes.
In the next round of the competition in Mexico, Gabi and her colleague will meet the pair of Juliana Lizarazo/María Paulina Pérez García (Colombia).
