While a decision on the appeal lodged by U Craiova 1948 was expected on Thursday, the decision by the FRF Disciplinary Commission in the Sepsi match suspension case was delayed until next week.

Intermission in appeal U Craiova 1948 – Covăsnens presented new evidence

The disciplinary committee of the FRF decided that the Sepsi v Craiova 1948 match, which was interrupted in the 26th minute due to xenophobic chants from Olten supporters, was won by the home team with a score of 3-0 behind the green table.

Adrian Mititelou appealed, confident of overturning the decision after finding in the regulation that matches can only be stopped for racist chants, not xenophobic chants.

The appeals panel postponed a verdict after Sepsi officials presented new evidence in the case.

According to GSP, security officer Kovasneniv contacted the gendarmes at the first break of the match, who assessed the events on the lawn and did not consider it necessary to evacuate.

Both teams are confident they will win the case, and a decision is expected on March 7.
