Lance Stroll will compete at the Bahrain Grand Prix
The Canadian said he had minor surgery on his right wrist following a cycling accident he suffered while training in Spain.
He did not specify when the accident, which Aston Martin first publicly announced on February 20, occurred.
To date, Stroll has completed just 17 wet shakedown laps at Silverstone in the new AMR23 single-seater.
Brazilian reserve Felipe Drugovych was waiting to see how the condition of Lance Stroll, the son of billionaire Lawrence Stroll, the owner of the team, would develop in case the Canadian pilot needed a replacement in Bahrain, writes Agerpres.
